  3. Announce is a simple network utility for sending instant messages to other users.
  4.  
  5. ･Send audio and/or voice messages.          ･Send the same message to many users.
  6. ･Supports multiple zones.                   ･Save groups of users.
  7. ･Send several different messages at the same time.
  8. ･And it's simple!

  10. This is a fully-functional demonstration version of Announce User (application) and Announcer (Control Panel). You may install the programs on up to ten Macintoshes for up to 30 days. After 30 days you must purchase an unlimited users license or remove the programs from all Macintoshes in your building.

If you purchase an unlimited users license you will receive a disk containing the most recent versions of Announce User, Announce Administrator, and Announcer. The Administrator application has the added abilities to remotely Set Clocks, Restart, and Shut Down. Licensed versions also do not display this "welcome screen" when you open the application. An unlimited users license is only $39.00.

  19. Install the Announce User application on Macs that need to send messages:
  20. Copy Announce User anywhere on your hard drive. Open it to send a message.

  22. Install the Announcer Control Panel on Macs that need to receive messages:
  23. Copy Announcer into Control Panels inside the System Folder. Make sure AppleTalk is Active in the Chooser, and that your Mac has a valid Choose name (in System 6) or Owner name (in System 7.x Sharing Setup Control Panel). Restart the Mac.
